Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation Lifts Spirits with Free Rice for Oraifite Households.

Tuesday the 22nd day of December, was a day to remember for the residents of Oraifite in Ekwusigo local government of Anambra state. It was the day that The Emeka Okwuosa Foundation gave out thousands of bags of rice to the people and friends of the community. As early as 8.00 am in the morning of the appointed day, the Irefi town hall, {built by the foundation}, was filled to the brim by women, men, and people from different walks of life. After the opening prayer, the Chairman of the foundation, Honorable Azuka Okwuosa addressed the mammoth gathering.

He reiterated the aim of the Foundation which is to give to the needy and the less privileged in our society. He said that the foundation founded by Sir Dr. Emeka Okwuosa is committed to the wellbeing of the people of Oraifite and beyond. He enumerated the ongoing projects in that regard: the hospital that will soon be commissioned, the state-of-the-art convent school, scholarships, roads, provision of water, church building and many more. He said the foundation this year is expanding its rice gift to many more people.

He then called on Professor Anene the secretary of the foundation to distribute the rice to all concerned. Bags of rice were then given to many stakeholders: Teachers, clergymen, security agencies, traditional leaders, market groups, men, and women. The beneficiaries of this gesture were full of joy as they prayed for the good health and continuous progress of Sir Emeka Okwuosa in all his endeavors.

They also prayed that the foundation shall grow from strength to strength. They also had kind words for Hon. Azuka and the administrators of the foundation for the laudable job they are doing.

The rice distribution train then moved to the expansive home of Sir Emeka Okwuosa were lorries drove in and loaded bags of rice for onward distribution to all married women in all the villages in Orafite. There was joy and ululation amongst the womenfolk as they sang and danced in praise of the untiring work of Sir Okwuosa in uplifting the lives of the less privileged. For so many, this a season that will remain indelible in their lives.
