It is the policy of Oilserv Ltd. to enhance the relationship between the company and host communities: to ultimately reduce operating costs and shutdowns arising from unhealthy company-community relationships. To achieve this Oilserv Limited shall:

  1. Before mobilization to any locality, pay a visit to the host community chiefs, leaders and youths, to determine the requirements of the community and subsequently agree with the community on issues discussed.
  2. Engage a seasoned community relations officer who shall liaise between the community and company on matters such as youth empowerment/employment of indigenous workers etc.
  3. Through the community affairs department, implement the company’s community relations plan.
  4. Manage Community affairs as an integral part of the company’s business to maintain a good relationship between the company and its host communities.
  5. Co-operate with the client and third parties to avoid unnecessary delays, shut down and of course unwarranted loss of man-hour
  6. Report any community disturbance/emergency or threat to the client without delay
