Signing Ceremony: Ohaji Egbema Multiphase Gas Pipeline Project (12” X 28km) Assa North For Spdc

In a bid to further support the growth in Nigeria’s domestic gas production based on the Federal Government of Nigeria’s programs for additional power and industrial projects which includes gas supply to the Western Domestic Gas Market through the Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) Gas Network; Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) and the indigenous leading EPCIC giant, Oilserv Limited on Wednesday 2nd October 2019 signed and sealed the (Ohaji/Egbema South) multiphase Gas Pipeline Project contract popularly called Assa North.The project work scope includes but not limited to the following;

a) Verification of the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) package

b) Detailed Engineering design of the pipelines

c) Construction of 12-inch x 28 km Carbon steel multiphase pipeline extending from the ANG project PTF pig launcher to the pig receiver at Obitti manifold

  1. d) Installation of 16 inch x 12 inch pig launcher at ANG PTF and 16 inch x 12 inch pig receiver at Obitti manifold.

    e) Installation of 8-inch x 1km Produced water/condensate evacuation pipeline from the ANG project PTF to a cold-tap connection on the 16-inch Egbema – Assa Trunk line. This evacuation pipeline shall be of Reinforced Thermoplastic Composite material.

    f) Ancillary piping for connection of 16” x 12” Pig launcher to the PTF and 16” x 12” Pig receiver to the pipeline manifolds at Obitti.

    g) Valves, fittings and equipment for the cold-tap connection of the 8 inch pipeline to the existing 16-inch x 20.4km Egbema – Assa trunk line.

    h) Creek crossings ,waterway and river crossings.

    i) Pipeline crossings.

    j) Road crossings.

    k) Cathodic protection systems for the 12-inch x 28 km carbon steel multiphase pipeline.

    l) Baseline intelligent pigging, coating survey and cathodic protection survey.

    m) Procurement and installation of pipeline valves in addition to all other long lead items required for the project during or upon completion of route verification survey and detail design work.
