The awards ceremony was a highlight of the esteemed NOG Gala Dinner, an event hosted by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited.
The NOG Energy Week Industry Awards celebrate and honor outstanding achievements and innovative contributions within the oil and gas sector, recognizing companies and individuals who have made significant contributions to the industry’s growth and development. This sponsorship underscores Oilserv’s commitment to promoting excellence and supporting initiatives that drive industry standards forward.
The first award of the evening was the Nigerian Content Award, celebrating a company that continuously implements strategies and initiatives aligned with the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act’s fundamental policy initiatives through value creation and local capacity development. The nominees included Nestoil, TotalEnergies, and Renaissance Energy Africa Company, with TotalEnergies emerging as the winner.
This award was presented to TotalEnergies by Oilserv’s Group Executive, Energy and New Business Development, Mr. Nadeem Hashmi.
The Indigenous Company of the Year Award recognized a Nigerian company that excelled over the past year and established itself as a major player in a specific part of the oil and gas value chain. Nominees included Seplat Energy, Green Energy International Limited, Falcon Corporation Limited, and TREXM Holdings, with Green Energy Limited taking the award.
Furthermore, the Excellence Award honored a member of the Nigerian oil and gas value chain who achieved significant project milestones and upheld exemplary standards in activities and initiatives over the last year. Nigeria LNG (NLNG) won this award, beating out TotalEnergies, Seplat Energy, and Green Energy International Limited.
Coleman Wires & Cables received the Equality in Energy Award, triumphing over SNEPCO and ND Western for leading the way in equality, diversity, and inclusion.
To recognize women in energy with proven leadership skills that foster growth and development within their spheres of influence, Olu A. Verheijen, the Special Adviser on Energy to President Bola Tinubu, was awarded the Woman in Leadership of the Year Award, ahead of Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan and Adesua Dozie.
Iroghama Ogbeifun, the Managing Director/CEO of Starz Investment Company Ltd, was honored with the Rising Star Award for excelling in the Nigerian energy industry and demonstrating the potential to be a future leader. She was chosen over nominees Olumuyiwa Nelson and Kosile Aysha Abba.
For the NOG international exhibition, which featured over 350 exhibitors, Chevron was named Best Exhibitor. Green Energy International won the Best Exhibition Design Award, Ikosh Nigeria Limited was recognized as the Best Emerging Exhibiting Company and Pana Holdings received the Exhibition Excellence Award.
The distinguished Industry Transformation Award went to NNPC Limited, recognizing its outstanding contributions to transforming the industry through innovative practices, strategic initiatives, and exemplary leadership.
