The Oilserv Managing Director/Acting Group Chief Operating Officer, Engr. Nnanna Anyanwu, accompanied by the General Manager Projects, Engr. Augustine Ukpong, embarked on a comprehensive one-week site visit to oversee the progress of the ANOH-NNPC Gas Pipeline Project. Their rigorous inspection covered various project segments, with a particular focus on the Process Treatment Facility (PTF) located at ASSA in Imo State, a site believed to experience the presidential commissioning soonest.
During the visit, they engaged with key project stakeholders and provided guidance on areas requiring improvement to ensure timely completion of the project. Additionally, they assessed the quality of workmanship and adherence to safety protocols to maintain high standards throughout the construction process.
At the PTF site, where mechanical and civil installation works are currently underway, the leadership team observed firsthand the intricate processes involved in bringing the project to fruition. They also assessed the Section 7.9km/5.4km (A) pipeline construction in Imo/Rivers State, witnessing the ongoing saddlebag installation, lowering, and backfilling activities. These observations allowed the leadership team to make informed decisions regarding resource allocation and project timelines. By actively engaging with the construction processes, they were able to address any potential issues proactively and ensure the project stays on track for successful completion.
Furthermore, they reviewed the planned golden-joint-tie-in and backfilling procedures for the 4.5km section in Rivers State, as well as the ongoing pipeline crossing and tie-in for the 5.4km (B) segment. The team also visited the CTMS site, where mechanical and civil installation works are currently in progress. Additionally, they conducted in-depth inspections of the welding and coating processes to guarantee quality control standards were being met. This hands-on approach by the team has resulted in efficient problem-solving and timely project delivery.
With an unwavering dedication to meeting project milestones and ensuring readiness for the presidential commissioning, the Managing Director has issued directives to the team leads and project focal persons across various project locations. Emphasizing the importance of strict adherence to timelines and quality standards, the Managing Director has underscored the need for timely completion of project scopes across all sections.
